There is a sudden growing hype about the Smurfs. For those who don't know what Smurfs is, its an old cartoon in the 80s that was relatively popular back then. If you liked the Smurfs, this game would interest you, as it revolves around the Smurf theme, building its storyline around characters such as Gargamel, Papa Smurfs and all your favorite Smurfs.
This game was developed by Capcom Interactive and gameplay resembles time-activated FarmVille. Given the the latter success on social networking site Facebook, other gaming companies have followed suit and this is one another attempt but appearing to be a successful one given its response making its way into top 10 grossing AppStore grossing apps.
Why is this timely? So happens that SONY Is launching the Smurfs 3D later this year. I was a fan of the Smurfs, but so far trailers from the trailer doesn't seem to appealing sadly. I wouldn't know at this point, which would actually be the helping the other in publicity and sales although my bet is that this Appstore game is probably going to add momentum this renewed interest in Smurfs.
Most games are either rich in content, or rich in looping repetitious tasks in order to keep your hooked and perhaps interested. I would say this is in between and balances these reasonably well although, everyone always has their own wish list. What I can say is that although games are preference-based and you might just like this game.
Like most games, I personally like the easiest way to progress, to spend time efficiently and get to the top. Seriously, no one wants to learn things the hard way nonetheless, there are always options. There are guides available already on the net, and I would recommend to anyone who wants to play this game effectively,considering one if its not too pricey.
Overall I would say that this is a fun game and I definitely worth a download at least. There are approx 90 million iPhone-users worldwide ( as at Jan 2011 ) pick this App to be one of the best, I would say that if your view differs perhaps you fall outside the 10% of the bell curve:) Anyway this is my take on this matter anyhow.
The only downside I personally feel is that after playing this game, I felt that at a certain point, you would have to purchase some Smurfberries ( with real cash ) to make decent progress in the game.
